Tanca Irde - CAPOTERRA

First impressions when you walk up to the hotel/restaurant are poor. The Property seems in need of renovation with some of the paintwork peeling and a printed sign stuck on the door directing you to the restaurant. The Restaurant although seeming to be clean lacked any atmosphere. We were the first to arrive and the television was immediately switched on which was somewhat strange as it was obvious we did not speak any Italian. By the time we left we were joined in a large room by a couple and on other person. My wife had a very soggy pizza and I had mussel soup which consisted of overcooked mussels in a tomato sauce which bread and cheese as a base. My main course was a largely inedible t bone steak. We were agreed that it was the worst Italian meal we have ever experienced. The previous evening we ate in another local restaurant and by the time we left it was completely full with locals. This gives a good indication of choice of restaurants in the area.

Excellent service, great food, wonderful local fayre, and very young yet enthusiastic staff definately reccommended.

Delicious food, lovely place and very warming welcome! Nothing to change! We recommand you to try it, you won’t be disappointed! Pasta and pizza are excellent!

We visited this restaurant this week with a large group of family friends. The location is very lovely, nice green space, well maintained garden and romantic illuminated pool area. The pizza is not the best, but for this price is definitely a great deal. There was fantastic live music band. It was like a private garden party. The close mountains make all a tipical Sardinian experience. Lovely place and decent food! Just one advise the deserts are low quality, the owners must consider replacing with in house production. Generally a very pleasant evening!

Sardinian traditional menu set by telephone not respected, low quality dishes served instead. We asked for explanations and we received, as a compensation for the mistakes, a double portion of the mediocre first course we had just ate. The second part of the lunch wasn't bad, beside the lack of roasted pork and sardinian typical desserts (both fixed by the menu planned). I think that the price of 35 euros for the meal we had was unfair but my rating of an only star is justified by the reaction of the staff in answer to our complaint. A simple discount would had sort out the situation.
