The Sand - Cape Tribulation

Cape Tribulation Camping has been in operation for nearly a decade, and in 2011, "The Sand Bar" was introduced, complete with wood-fired pizza ovens that quickly became the focal point of the campsite. Our accommodation recommended it as a must-try spot for pizza, so we decided to give it a shot. We found some bar stools near the counter where we placed our order, then grabbed a picnic table outdoors. Cape Tribulation Camping has been in existence for nearly years, and in the center of the camping area, a new addition called "The Sand Bar" has opened with a wood-fired pizza oven. Our accommodation recommended this spot for pizza, so we decided to give it a try. We found some bar stools near the counter, placed our order, and then sat at one of the outdoor picnic tables. Our table was close to the wood-fired oven, which was busy supplying food to hungry diners. Sitting outdoors gave us a chance to admire the sky, and we even saw a satellite passing overhead. I opted for the cheese-free vegetarian pizza with spinach, which was lighter and fresher compared to the margherita with anchovies. The pizza bases and toppings were of good quality and well-prepared. It took some time for our pizzas to arrive, but they were worth the wait. The Sand Bar has a casual atmosphere and provides delicious pizza.
