The service is attentive .They have a nice menu but limited including beer selections. We had fish for apps and entree’s all very good and large portions.
I know that the industry is struggling but we have been to other Restaurants during our week in Cape May that are far superior and definitely not as expensive. Cia Mia on the mall if far superior. The service was extremely slow with no communication from our server. People in service industry please manage expectations and communicate service struggles. As for our meal we had shrimp cocktail which was good, crap corn chowder which was awful, Caesar Salad was good, grilled octopus salad and oysters which were OK. For our meals we ordered the crap cakes which were not good. They came with a green sauce that was nasty. We also ordered the halbut that was tasteless and tiny for the $42 price. All in all we were terrible disappointed and will not be back. The 2 killers......Poor service and terrible food.
Ordered a salmon, waited over 20 minutes, walked all the way back to my hotel just to find out they gave me a kids grilled cheese instead. I can’t eat bread or French fries so the whole meal had to go to the trash. When I called back they were confused and are trying to “figure it out” and won’t provide proof that transaction is cancelled.
Went to have dinner, was told a lot of the staff was out so had to order from the lunch menu. That should have been the red flag to leave but we stayed. We ordered wing which were tuff almost like they were warmed up in microwave to served hot, ordered the cheese plate was told that they were out of blu cheese but they would substitute another cheese instead but that didn't happen.
Beautiful location across from beach in the surf club hotel. Food was very good and nicely presented, had crab cakes and halibut. The rest of the experience was subpar for a restaurant that categorizes itself as fine dining. Two tables next to us were left with plates from previous diners for most of our dinner which was less than appetizing especially when the flies came. Our server gave us an odd look when we asked for pepper and said she would ask the chef then came back and thew some little white pepper packs on the table. Service overall slow, probably understaffed but it seemed like there were lots of people working. Great potential but under executed
