La Verandah - CAPE MAY

The food and service were outstanding! This charming BYOB restaurant features a fascinating menu. I can't believe we hadn't tried it until this summer. We ordered the scallops and the ahi tuna appetizer, both of which were divine. For my main course, I had the pasta special, while my mom enjoyed the seafood galette—both were delicious. I'm still dreaming about the flourless chocolate cake we shared for dessert. This was definitely one of the best culinary experiences I've had in Cape May.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. My partner and I enjoyed a wonderful and romantic meal together. The baby spinach salad was a dream come true. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the ambiance was excellent. This will definitely be my go-to choice when I return to Cape May.

I would have given a 5-star rating because the food presentation and taste were the best I experienced in Cape May all week. However, they really need to hire more staff. After we finished eating, it took a while for our plates to be cleared, and we had to ask about our food. This was our first time at La Verandah, and we definitely want to return because our meals were incredible. But please, you need more staff! Also, the espresso was quite weak and didn't taste like espresso at all. Aside from that, all of our meals were fantastic.
