My family thoroughly enjoyed our Friday morning breakfast here. Really interesting building, laid-back atmosphere, good food, friendly service. I *loved* their “Cape Charles Latte”.After finishing our food we went upstairs to see what that was like and my wife accidentally left her iced coffee on the table. The staff cleared the table while we were away but gave my wife a fresh iced coffee when she asked if hers was saved. We thought that was very generous of them.We will 100% be back.
Can 't say anything about the food as we left after standing at the counter for 20 minutes while the wait staff walked around us. There were tables available, although not cleaned, and they were busy, but not overwhelmed. We were greeted when we walked to the counter and were told they would be right with us. Apparently right with you means different things in this industry. Another group of 4 came in behind us and also questioned why no one would acknowledge Patrons waiting for a table. After 20 minutes of being ignored, even though we were clearly seen by the staff, we left. An experience that starts out this poorly cannot get any better. Another disappointment while visiting Cape Charles. This place has so much character...unfortunately it was ruined by such poor service.
This used to be a haberdashery for women. There is a second floor w Art to admire and a large table for groups or mtgs!
Great atmosphere and awesome food. We had the Belgium Waffle and it was great. The fruit is so fresh and a good addition to the meal.
