Today we discovered a small pearl of osteria. Welcomed by the kindness of the owner and staff we ate divinely. Homemade cakes very good, very good spelt soup, rovelline to lick the mustache, soft capocollo (fatato from the owner for us! and bowl (a great dish typical of the fish cuisine . The sweets seemed great but we didn't make it... what to say, a place that knows about the house and where we will definitely return.
Where do you go for your first meal 'out ' after 3 months of Lockdown? My choice combined, beautifully cooked food, home grown organic ingredients, unsurpassable choice of wine (Dino, the proprietor, choose a fantastic bio dynamic Chianti) a welcome 'hug ' fit for a king and not a dry eye in the house! Stunning crostini was followed by 'zuppa Garmugia ' a truly incredible brodo di Guangiale with fresh spring vegetable. I topped that off with Rabbit in white wine, olives and more 'verdure da orto '. I hope that you get to eat something this good at some point soon.
We messed up on a wine tasting near Montecarlo and the owners of the vineyard sent us here. I’m glad we missed the wine tasting!!! This restaurant is just a perfect place for a wonderful home made Italian “feast”. The owner served us and his wife cooked the meal. He chose everything for us including an after meal wine that he had made himself. We’ve been in Italy for two weeks and this was a true highlight! What a discovery! Be willing to sit and enjoy for a 2 meal. If you are impatient, stay away! If you are rude, stay away! If I could give 6 stars, I would!
