Italian Garden Cafe - Canyon Lake

I 'll preface this review by saying my family and I used to really like eating at this restaurant. The food was fantastic and was worth the drive from New Braunfels. Unfortunately, the last time we went, the staff had the AC set unbearably cold. All the customers were wearing jackets while trying to eat and agreed the temperature was too cold. When we mentioned the cold to the waitress and asked to move to a warmer section of the restaurant, we were told we couldn 't move as the other waitress couldn 't take any more customers. Note that this restaurant is NOT a large building. I suppose our waitress would have had to take 3 extra steps if we had moved....definitely too far to go, I guess. So, we decided to leave. On the way out, we noticed the thermostat was set at 72 degrees. When we left, I called to speak with the manager, but whoever picked up the phone just picked it up and let it sit without answering. So, I called back 30 min later, and the lady that answered stated, The manager is not here. Well, THAT explains the problem. So, in closing, great food can be found here, and our prior visits were very good. I hope the management makes some changes and figures out how to make the restaurant a more appropriate temperature for dining customers.

First time trying out Italian Garden Restaurant and we were not disappointed. We were seated within a few minutes of walking in the door. Our server was quick with our drinks, bread and food. We ordered the Tour of Italy and Eggplant parmesan, both dishes were delicious. We will definitely be returning for another lunch or dinner. Service: Dine in
