Buttermilk's - Canton

I was quite disappointed with my experience today. We arrived at 1:30 PM and were seated right away. We ordered within five minutes, and then the wait began. The restaurant wasn’t busy, and there were plenty of servers, yet we waited 45 minutes for our food. All we ordered was a kids’ burger and a chicken tender basket, which took far too long to arrive. Three out of the four chicken tenders were the size of chicken nuggets—seriously, they were only about 2.5 inches long—and my fries were cold. The only reason I’m giving two stars is that my wife really enjoyed the sweet potato fries. I've dined here multiple times in the past, but this was my first visit in a long while, and I’ve heard there’s new ownership. I hoped for a better lunch experience, especially after the long wait.

I can only give this place two stars. My brother and I visited for the first time on May 1, 2019. I've been a vendor at Canton and watched as this restaurant opened and seemed to thrive, so I thought we should give it a try. However, when we arrived, everything looked pretty average, so I decided not to order anything and instead read some online reviews about the restaurant. My brother went ahead and ordered the chicken fry, but it turned out to be mostly batter with only a thin piece of meat—maybe a quarter of an inch thick, if that! If it were any thicker, you’d probably need more than just a knife to cut it. I’m sure there are better options on the menu, but definitely skip the chicken fry!

Delicious! Authentic Southern homestyle cooking! I enjoyed the Country Fried Steak topped with gravy, and it exceeded my expectations. The restaurant had a lovely decor that enhanced our dining experience with a comforting atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends.

Awesome food. We came a little late but they served us anyway. Great food. Great service.

The 3 out of the 4 chicken tenders were chicken nugget size seriously 2-1/2 inches long and my fries were cold. Only reason for 2 stars is my wife loved the sweet potato fries. I have been here on several occasions but this was the first time in a long time and I have heard it is under new ownership. Wished for more out of this lunch especially after the long wait.
