Shobab - Canterbury

I was very disappointed with this family takeout restaurant. The lamb dish had good flavor, but the meat was tough and unpleasant, and it seemed like it had only been briefly dipped in the sauce. The chicken dish was overly sweet. The starters seemed to have been sitting out for a while, and I suspect they were quickly microwaved instead of being freshly cooked. The naan bread and rice were average. This place used to be great for takeout, but my last few experiences have been really bad - higher prices and smaller portions. I don't think I'll be returning.

This is the best Indian food I have ever had! Shobab makes the crispiest onion bhaji that are absolutely stunning. We ordered chicken tikka masala, chicken madras, two servings of rice, onion bhaji, and Peshwari naan for just over £30 and everything tasted amazing.

Takeaway and what a disappointment The meat was inedible it was expensive waste of money. The flavours were exceptional so the chef they have is good but the meat they are using is terrible and we literally fished out all meat and binned. The onion hajis were also a bit odd and tasted commercial rather than hand made. So disappointed for what we paid. will not be using again

We had a delicious meal tonight from the Shobab. Kerala Mirchiwala and Chicken Tikka Massala were both delicious and I can't get enough of the sauce that comes with the onion bhajis. Everything was ready within half an hour, great service too
