Seasalter Fish - Canterbury

I have ordered takeout from this place several times and have always been satisfied. The fries are cooked perfectly and the batter is consistently light and crispy. Their chicken bites (not nuggets) are made with real chicken and are very flavorful, with a delicious batter. The staff is always cheerful, talkative, and friendly.

I visited this restaurant on a Friday evening recently. I have to say, it was the best non-battered sausage and chips I have had in a long time. The chips were not very crispy, which was perfect for me!

The delivery was on time and the driver called me upon arrival, as requested, which was a good start. However, there were no utensils provided or salt and vinegar, as requested. The quality of the food did not live up to the price paid.

I stopped here for a portion of chips for lunch. The man that served me seemed miserable but was maybe just shy, although it would help if he smiled! The chips tasted nice but were soggy and almost impossible to get out of the bag with a wooden chip fork, which was a shame as I thought they were good value for money.

Food was average but well cooked. Service was a bit grim not acknowledged when entered, attitude offhand.
