Took nearly 10 minutes to be seen, and our booked table wasn’t ready.. when we seated, there was food and crumbs all over the seats and ketchup up the walls. The table was sticky, and the laid out cutlery looked about 20 years old. While waiting for drinks a trip to the toilet showed even more neglect, napkins and dirt all over the floor, paint peeling off the walls, the toilet door sticks difficult to open whilst trying not to touch the filthy handle. All of the furniture has various states of dilapidation and stains . The starters came out after about 40 minutes and were edible. But look like they’ve been chucked out of a box from Iceland. When the mains came out after another hour, everyone had a complaint from overcooked steaks to hairs in the food we were given a hefty discount. Didn’t stay for dessert will not be going again. This place is in need of a complete makeover
Did not eat so cannot comment on food strange vibe disinterested staff, no draught beers. Very scruffy looking and sticky tables and menus. Decided to go elsewhere.
Fantastic value for money £10 each as much as you like full range of continental as well as cooked food free flowing teas (lots of different types) coffee
Visited for Sunday roast. Booked online in the morning, but no booking was visible on their system they questioned how we could have booked online for the same day and so we got seated to eat in the empty bar. No atmosphere whatsoever and view of the main road and (full) ashtrays outside the window. The chicken was edible but the beef was totally flavourless and lamb very fatty. The stuffing balls tasted weird and I could still taste them hours later. £9 for 2 cokes. Staff were ok but not terribly welcoming. Didn’t have high hopes but was still disappointed!
Very average, overpriced food. It was fine but nothing more. I would look for other options personally. I ordered half chicken, fries and corn. Fries were meant to be seasoned (they weren’t), chicken was meant to be chargrilled (it didn’t look as though it was, was very plain), corn was fine (nothing to it really). There was a small amount of rocket which was well past the use by date and should not have been served in a restaurant. My other half ordered the ribs, breaded chicken and chargrilled chicken. The chicken was fine but the ribs were “not great” as he said. We ordered two soft drinks with the two main meals and we paid around £44. We don’t have a problem with spending that but definitely overpriced for the standard of food. Service was ok, we ordered at the bar as the restaurant was full which was fine for us. A pro is they have a gluten free menu and decent parking. We basically stopped here en route to Ramsgate so was convenient but won’t go back.
