Cafe Des Amis - Canterbury

Had a beautiful evening as Cafe Des, huge portions and delicious drinks, me and a friend had a wonderful time! Amazing service too from Millie and Emma, could not recommend enough

Had an excellent meal in Cafe Des Amis Friday evening. Upon entry you get the cosy, positively busy atmosphere. The selection of drinks is what brings this down to 4 stars. There isn’t a wide variety of spirits, only tequila or gin. Never the less the meal was super tasty and the amount of time between courses was perfect. Our waitress was really friendly and looked after us well for the duration. I am so glad we found this hidden gem, this really was a great meal in a great location. Would highly recommend.

We pre-booked and visited the Canterbury Restaurant last weekend with family. i was blown away by the service of Maddie, she couldn 't do enough to help even though they were at full capacity..I shared steak Fajita and and my Son had steak meal. i did like the service, it was very quick but not rushed and really enjoyed the food quality, flavour and taste, plus drink.. i had Modello beer and really liked the taste of this, so much i am looking for it online to buy more for at home lol.... we will be back again and soon and highly recommend to anyone thinking of going here

Visited for the first time and what a beautiful meal we had. It was so so good. Pulled lamb shoulder fajita for main with all the sides so you can make it yourself which visually looked stunning and tasted delicious. The deserts were so tasty as well and the presentation was faultless! Myself and my partner ate everything. We didn’t pre book but we was still accommodated and staff were very pleasant and friendly. Thankyou café des Amis for a lovely meal and evening. Will definitely be returning

This place is very popular, but it's coasting on its popularity, and the quality and value now aren't as good as other nearby places in town. Service is welcoming and quick. Food plentiful and OK but not great. Seating is compact to the point of overcrowding, which makes it very noisy, and the open kitchen means that the cooking smells are unpleasantly overpowering.
