Teek - Cañon City

I stopped in for lunch after visiting Royal Gorge. Although the restaurant wasn’t very busy, I had to wait to be seated. I used the Yelp check-in feature and received a coupon for a free beer. When I mentioned this to my server, she said she couldn’t help with the alcohol and would need to get the bartender. We ended up having to flag the bartender down ourselves, and I showed her the coupon while explaining what the server had said. She gave me an odd look and presented us with the beer options. Despite showing both the server and the bartender the Yelp coupon, it still appeared on our bill. Additionally, my mom requested no jalapeños on her tacos, but they were still included. The fries were excessively salty. Overall, given that it wasn’t busy, the service did not meet my expectations.

I came all the way from Texas for my birthday and looked up Teek on Yelp. It didn't disappoint. After an awesome bike ride, the magic mushrooms were delicious!! We ordered the blue cheese salad and the banh mi tacos. I highly recommend the tacos!! The pork was so so good!!Root fries dipped in the magic mushroom drippings were awesome. Excellent service and great ambiance. Go! You won't be sorry!

A charming space in an old building in downtown Canon City. It serves farm to market products, so many items on he menu were unavailable due to supply which was appreciated and understandable. After selecting my salt and pepper shakers from a large cabinet, I settled in as the sole customer on a Wednesday lunch hour. The space is huge with high ceilings and a coffee bar and a separate alcohol bar. I had the bacon and blue cheese burger. A burger was adequate, but nothing to spark a repeat order. Bacon, onion, arugula, and blue cheese on a normal sized patty with seasoned fries. I would love to return someday and try something else. I love the concept and what they have done with the space. Burger 3 stars. Concept and ambiance 5 stars.

This restaurant is permanently closed. It's such a disappointment to see it go. I wish I had more positive things to say, but unfortunately, it's over for this place.
