Plage Royale - Cannes

Stopped by for a quick breakfast, was welcomed by really poor service. These guys have no idea how to treat customers, server was inpolite and unprofessional.We didnt even get a menu, we got to sit into a corner table without even a menu and were served an overpriced, burned, coffee.Skip this place, attitude stinks

A little idyll in the middle of Cannes. Mario and Paula have built this business to the point where the service and food offer is the best you can expect on the beach. Lovely meat and fish dishes and dont forget the puds too - strawberries and chantilly or banana split! A bottle of rose and you have the perfect Cannes lunch experience!

Went for an early breakfast on Monday morning and boy I was welcomed with attitude!!! The lady who works there is absoulotly mad ! I ignored at the begging and didn't really pay attention but she only got worse! Her behavior is intolerable! When I asked for English breakfast tea instead of earl gray she EXPLODED saying it's all the same and this is what's available only!! Then she got other types of tea and throw it on the table with the worst attitude ever ! That was not normal at all !!! I don't know how does the owners of the place even allow such a thing!!! What a shame for such a nice place ! The restaurant is directly located on the beautiful Cannes promenade offering great view however with this level of bad service it should be avoided at any price! By the way speaking about the price, cold bad breakfast cost 18 euros here not to mention the ATTITUDE !!!!

Horrible welcome from the waiter! This morning little child of 11 months refused to use the swing! Plage is empty, disturbing nobody! Maybe those are the facts for the frustration of the guy in this place?Blond, with carré blonds hair, 185/190high, quite a good looking till the moment he opened his month. People like him should better stay at home than working in services. Because of such guys France is famous by bad services and agressive attitude...On my remark, that it's not the way to gain clients he said he it's not a problem! I hope his boss won't agree with his point of you.Shame on him!

Alnog the Croisette beach-side you'll find a line of restaurants similar in appearance, but for me, the Plage Royale is the one to choose - a long-established favourite, its tables stretch out onto the sand (on sunny days!), and its menu is as Mediterranean as you would wish. I value the seafood, especially the fish, as among the freshest and tastiest in Cannes. Mid-range in price, but choose carefully, focus on a main course and a glass of Provençal rosé, and you can't go wrong.
