Woodward Pizza Co - Canmore

We just stopped by for some pizza and drinks. We split the Woodard pizza (Detroit style) and it was fantastic! Beer is served in mason jar. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful. 5 stars!!

Maybe the food is great, we wouldn't know because we got a table and then we're actively ignored for 30 min while people coming in after us got service. The multiple servers just actively ignored us. Maybe it was my invisibility cloak?

Got ignored while the people who came in after us as well another party who came after us were sat at the bar and their orders taken...we are both professionals and were appropriately dressed and mannered...left to find a more hospitable place. I've never had a Detroit style pizza before. In fact, I didn't know it existed until walking past this place. Chicago, Neapolitan, New York, Pictou, yes. But Detroit? A Detroit pizza is square but not as deep as a Chicago pizza, topped with cheese that goes to the edges so no crust. They also carry Windsor style pizza, also new to me but more like a traditional pizza. The server was over the top good! Very passionate about his pizza and providing great service. Lots of choices for both styles, as well as appies and sandwiches. Also a great selection of beer and wine. The pizza was really good. Definitely not your every day pizza slice. We had a vegetarian option and a meaty style, both equally delicious. Reasonably priced as one $24 pizza would serve two moderate appetites. They offer many vegetarian options and cauliflower crust gluten-free option. I'd maybe like to see more local beers as Alberta is awash with excellent mWill definitely be back to work through the menu.

This place was amazing the service was genuinely perfect all the staff were so polite and easy going the food took no time to arrive at the table. It felt like it transported you to a Detroit style pizza wonderland the sauce taste was impeccable the cheese was melty and gooey just as it would be wanted the crust gives a crunch but not like a rock just for texture this place was perfect 5/5 would go back any day
