For supper, we enjoyed delicious salt and pepper wings and I had a tasty caesar salad. What was the icing on the cake, was the service! Aaron was super personable and made our experience top notch. Lorna was also around for breakfast and dinner. She was so friendly, asking where people were from and what they were doing for the day. I wouldn't go out of your way to come here but highly recommend this restaurant if you're staying at the Windtower.
We stayed in the Windtower hotel so we ate here a few times, including 4 breakfasts. The food was hot and tasty. Our servers were friendly. A shout out to Jeff and Clint (Hey Clint, I hope you got to see Top Gun after all). The nightly specials are Killer deals.
We went to the Wandering Elk for dinner and ordered the Elk Burger and open faced steak sandwich. Both were perfectly cooked, very juicy and flavorful. Our waiter also took time to ask about our plans then talked about and wrote down his hiking recommendations for us, which ended up being some of our trip favorites! Great experience!
We went looking forward to ribs. But they weren't on the menu?? Went early and not crowded. Fairly quick service.
We stopped in as a family after a wedding for breakfast. The buffet was $11.99 per person and included coffee, juice and water. The food options included scrambled eggs, sausage patties and bacon. Other items included toast, cereal, yogurt, apples/oranges and fresh self made waffles. This buffet is also the continental breakfast for hotel guests. Overall, the food was lower grade and quite salty. For $11.99, I'd rather go to a cafe and get something fresh made or even Tim Hortons. I'd only recommend this if you are in a group as everyone will find something to eat.
