I really like noodles and not many in soup and since this (I knew) would not fill me up ... I order a bowl of white rice (this I know how to say) before my soup was gone to add to my broth .. but never got it. The photo of this that showed on the menu... was full of veggies and a looked like a bigger bowl ... but not mine :(DD ordered beef fried rice ... but many pieces of shrimp were also in her dish (which she does not like) also a California Roll ... but no ginger or wasabi came with it. Just lots of little mess-up . Almost too many ...
This restaurant specializes in sushi with a Mexican twist. It is located beside the main entrance to the Plaza Las Americas shopping mall in Cancun, just outside the hotel zone. The service is always excellent and the price is very reasonable for such delicious fare. My favorite sushi roll is the "Favourito" which I think is number 9 on the menu (double check). Ask for the peppers to put in your soya sauce as this adds a whole new dimension to the taste. Not to hot, just flavorful. Start out with some of the amazing fried cheese and dip it in the thick sauce that accompanies it. If you are a cheese lover at all you will love it. We go here at least once or twice every trip to Cancun and it is truly delicious!
I made the mistake of looking for a place to watch the World Cup final in Cancun and figured I could get into Hooters but every place was just packed. Then I ran into a very welcoming restaurant owner and his very pleasant staff and decided to give his place a go. I had never been in a sushi restaurant before and was really unsure of what to order and while I was making my decision the owner came down with 2 free corona's for myself and my friend. Then he came down with 2 very tasty tequila shots. He had the match on and was making us very welcome. Our waiter recommended some sushi for us to try and it was just fantastic stuff. I couldn't tell you the name of the stuff but it was like a crunchy shrimp and rice wrap thing that was very tangy. I just loved the 10 piece sampler so much that I ended up getting another 10 piece sampler. I recommend this place to anyone going to Cancun and I will definitely be back.
