Przekaż informację zwrotnąThis is the caffe from the back of the Australian war memorial. it is surprisingly large with good indoor and outdoor areas. it started today and that's uneasy. it is anzac day eve. the service was ok. the coffee here was just acceptable. it is an average experience best. it needs a lift to go to the next level.
A very fast stop in canberra to visit the memory of the war next door. we had the rinderburger and blackworm. the burgers and chips were very fresh and tasty. large portion sizes. the black sausage roll was also delicious and quite large. the only one was the service. the personal seemed not happy at all and it was a last to take over our order.
Just a short stop on the way to war thinking. the coffee was good and the pina colada brot (sounds hokey but) was great. toasted cheese sandwich was as they expect.
As I so often do, I ordered the smashed avo, and was quite disappointed with the offering here. Instead of a lovely big pile of avo on my toast, it was quite a thin scrape, almost like the bread had been buttered' with the avo. In hindsight, I think perhaps it wasn't fresh avo that was used, but one of those pastes' from a tube you know how avo normally has green and yellow throughout? This was a consistent green colour, and no chunks at all, like it had been very well processed. I could be wrong, but I don't think I am. Unfortunately this place is too big and impersonal to serve quality food. Today two simple breakfasts arrived cold and then when they were returned to us they had forgotten to put the bacon back on both plates. In fairness to the waiter, he was mortified and very apologetic about the whole thing. It's a pity because the decor is wonderful!
