Horrible franchise in Canberra! I could understand horrible staff as they might not be trained properly or don't have experience. However if the franchisees are themselves horrible, then there might be a serious problem. Ever heard of the saying "It only takes one bad egg to infect a basket of healthy eggs turning them into rotten eggs"? If the owners are disrespectful, abusive, unfair and impolite it would naturally be safe to assume staff would be the same in the way they treat customers as staff reflect the boss' will. If you complained about anything you would expect a few things: confirmation of the complaint, an apology, an explanation, a resolution, and a reward for all your trouble, and finally on going feedback and evaluation from you regarding the service you are receiving from the business. I was surprised the owners themselves didn't apologise, didn't offer a resolution, didn't reward me for all my trouble, and let me know they were exasperated and didn't want to hear anymore problems. Performance drives profits and bad service usually means a bad reputation, bad sales, and bad business. Though you might have a very good product, or have a monopoly of it in the region, sales start to drop as people come to know your reputation. People will do whatever they can to avoid you, talk negatively about you, and make it a point to patronize your competitors instead. Who wants to be treated horribly? No one!

The food and drinks can be a little expensive or pricey, so I often come here for a treat on a weekday when it is least busy and the Woden lunch rush hasn't started, or has passed. The churros come out fresh and hot, and with melted chocolate, it's hard to go wrong. The cookie cha-cha (as pictured) is one of their chocolate shakes with crushed cookies and was around $9? Similar to drinking liquid cookie ice cream, it is lighter than some of the other chocolate shake options and still very delicious. I would recommend the choc banana sundae to share since you get mini churros, ice cream, banana, and crushed peanuts for texture. It's a bit of everything and when you share it, it's a lot cheaper. moodandfood.wix.com
A nationwide chain that set up a branch at Woden a year or two back. Food is great (a tad pricey though) and service as well, though on busy days you sometimes get the feeling that the place is understaffed. Take note the stuff here is really rich in chocolate so don't eat here if you are already more than half full.
