Prince Room Chinese Restaurant

Over the past 2 years, we have visited Adelaide, and both times we have eaten at Prince Room. There food is consistently good and the service was very good and friendly.I like their pork ribs in plum sauce very much, as well as their various duck dishes.I recommend it highly if you are in that vicinity of Adelaide

Have been going here for about 17 years and it is always nice. Once recently we did experience that musty smell mentioned but I think they had had their carpets cleaned and didn't ventilate. Great Peking Duck, another favourite is the tofu in soy - forget the name. The staff are efficient amd friendly.

The Prince came recommended. It was AWFUL, just AWFUL.We ordered a take-away. It 'would be ready in 15 minutes', we were told. So, we nipped out to pick up our order. On arrival we were struck first by the SMELL. Faust. Yes, Faust, or if you prefer musty. It was not a good sign. But we let it go.We paid for our meal and left. On plating up it was clear things were not good. That 'faust' or musty smell wafted into our nostrils. It was as if the food had been re-heated in dead, stale water. DISGUSTING!The 'crispy noodles' were a joke. Words cannot describe how poor they were. Do NOT buy them, ever!The 'chicken' in the chow mein was slimy, soggy and vile. INEDIBLE! The 'special fried rice' was special all right, disgustingly special. Tasteless, and strangely bland. It is that musty re-heated thing again. Not sure what it is but if we were eating in we would have asked for a refund.Our advice is SAY CLEAR of this place. If the main dining area is so damp and musty then what of the kitchen that YOU CANNOT SEE!NEVER AGAIN - NEVER!

The Prince Room has some of the best Chinese food I have ever had The 2 best ones were the salt and pepper squid and the noodles because the squid wasn't to spicy and the noodles were not over cooked or they were not under cooked. The decor was comfortable and nice and warm on a cold day.

Booked here for Mother's Day and did not disappoint, the service was a bit slow but they where full and it was Mother's Day, entrees came out fast n hot, no problems there, drinks took a while & so did a the main, once again it was a busy day, food was great and no too pricey,
