Whistlin' Waffle - Campbell River

My daughter phoned me and said she wanted to take me out of the Whistlin' Waffle, it was my first time. I had savory and she had a sweet build your own. We will be going back, especially for the waffle fries, delicious. As it is in a high ceiling room it is noisy and on a hot day there doesn't seem to be a lot of air flow, our server was wonderfully friendly and did not hover.

We had family visiting from California and Vancouver and decided to go here on their last morning. I'd heard mixed reviews but our experience was wonderful. We were 5 adults and a 4 year old. We had somewhat limitied time and they made sure we got all our orders quickly. The food was freshly made, delicious and varied. When the owner heard us talking about portion sizes (eggs bennie were pretty big) she said we could share an order or get a half order no problem. I would certainly recommend this delightful place.

A friend and I decided to have lunch at this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. I ordered the chicken sandwich and salad, while my friend opted for the classic Eggs Benedict. The food was delicious and the staff was incredibly friendly. We definitely plan on coming back in the future.

First time there. I'd heard good things. Went there for lunch. It was busy, it took a long time but have to say it was fresh, tasty, hot, cooked properly and service was good. I'm going back for sure. Eggs benny on waffles.......it was unique and better than I thought. The waffles were lighter and nicer than bread or English muffins. I had the Monty Monty eggs benny. My daughter had the classic and loved it. If you like bubble tea and I don't really even know what it is as it's not my thing they have a huge variety of bubble tea.

We visited with family for brunch. I can never resist the eggs benny, so I ordered one with mushrooms. The waffle underneath was very good - crispy and not too sweet, as you would want with a savoury dish. But everything on top was a bit of a disappointment. My eggs were poached to order but the hollandaise lacked flavour, mushrooms were rubbery and unseasoned, and the cheese didn't perk it up much. However, the sweet bubble waffles and bubble tea were excellent - very instagram-worthy. I would go again because the service was very friendly but stick to the sweet orders.
