Tyee Pub - Campbell River

Saw humpbacks while sipping a beer and having a sandwich. Seating is nicely limited and just about every seat has a water view. Menu is better than most pubby places. Beer assortment was (for all the Island craft-beer possibilities) really bad - primarily "big beer" selections.

I recommend taking part in the evening buffet. we had recommended the fish buffet. reservation.

The restaurant is at Painter's Lodge where we were staying. We only ate here for the breakfast which was ok. The view from the restaurant is really nice and there is limited outdoor seating. The dinner buffet menu had about 4 main entrees and was $45.00 which seemed pricey so we opted for the pub instead. The breakfast buffet was ok. Service was quite good. A server will bring you coffee and juices and you have a choice at the buffet of different types of scrambled eggs, some fruit, yogurt, applesauce, sausage, bacon, pancakes-choices varied a bit each day for some things. It can be crowded at times. The buffet is in a small area but the dining area is pretty large.

We thoroughly enjoyed the seafood buffet here, such a great selection , delicious and fresh. The crab was very tasty fresh hot made for you when you were ready to have it. Service was friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was awesome, sat on the deck watched boats and seals. I forgot to mention the salads and sides were also nicely done ! Food had beautiful presentation. We will definitely be back, and be telling everybody how great it was.

Really enjoyed the Saturday night seafood buffet. The buffet was extensive with perfectly cooked salmon, halibut; the crab was excellent!
