D Ick's Fish Chips - Campbell River

We visited the restaurant for fish and chips, burgers, and fries, and overall, the food was quite good. The fries were a bit too thick for my taste, but everyone (two adults and two teenagers) enjoyed their meals. The restaurant itself felt cramped and looked a bit worn, definitely in need of a fresh coat of paint. The customer service was somewhat odd, likely because the staff at the front were teenagers. I would probably return if I had a craving for fish and chips, but I’d likely opt for takeout next time. I would give the food a 4.5 rating and the restaurant itself a 2.

The service is great, but the quality and the amount of foods has fallen. first, the website says that they halibut but do not have them. I order grilled salmon fillet and it was dry. the rest of the family ordered squid that was good, but the portions were so small for the price they charge.

The quality of the fish remains excellent, but it seems that the portions are becoming smaller. Nevertheless, I would still recommend this restaurant because the fish is delicious.

The calamari and baked garnel where delicious. home made wine sauce excellent. great personalities directly opposite the beach

The customer service was excellent, but unfortunately, I was disappointed with the food. I ordered the haddock since they were out of halibut, and it was quite below average. There was too much batter, and the tartar sauce was just okay. I don't think I would return. I've tried fish at various places around the island, and this one ranks in the bottom third in terms of taste and overall quality.
