Cliff's Tavern And The Underground Live!

I was pleasantly surprised by this little hidden gem. It’s a lovely small place for burgers and drinks. Kat makes an excellent martini! The fries are the real deal—no frozen bags here! Finally, a place that knows how to make good fries! It may not look like much from the outside, and parking can be a bit limited, but the strip mall's decision to cram so much into a smaller space is the only real downside.

Great service, friendly staff. The potato soup is excellent! Bar page has a nice selection of beer. Live music down the weekend.

Great food! I had grilled salmon with French fries. The other entree was barbecue with a side of French fries. We both enjoyed the legendary potato soup. The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. Wednesday nights include jazz performances. Excellent food!

Upon arriving, I noticed the tables were quite dirty. It was unclear where the hostess was stationed, and despite the restaurant having only a few occupied tables, no one attended to us for several minutes. When the waitress finally came to take our drink orders, the hostess loudly called from across the room about seating another table, and the waitress responded, questioning why she had turned back. It felt very strange. The food was just average. I have been told they’ve made improvements since my visit, so I might consider giving it another try in a few months.

Cliffs has taken over the space previously occupied by Gullifty's in the Cedar Cliff Mall. The menu offers a fantastic selection, and the quality of the food is outstanding. I've visited several times for lunch, and each experience has met or exceeded my expectations. The staff is friendly and welcoming. If you enjoyed Gullifty's, you will definitely love Cliffs!
