Gaivota - Caminha

All 3 of us were happy with our food. A selection of meat or fish dishes. Many of the dishes are to share so be sure to ask before you choose. Very friendly, welcoming staff.

When visiting Minho (Northen Portugal), located in the countryside of MOLEDO Parish, you will find the Restaurant GAIVOTA (Seagull). We had a very enjoyable family lunch. The starters (small chicken pies) were delicious. Then came our choices of Bacalhau com broa (cod with corn bread), Bacalhau com Natas (cod with cream and mozarela cheese) and rabitt. The food was excellent. Some of us had home made desert. The Staff were amiable and professional. The prices are very reasonable. The Restaurant is open from Moday to Sunday (12:00/15:00 19:00/22:00) and is advisable to make reservation (Ph.: 258921661). Beeing in a narrow street you have to park your car in a car parking, about 200 meters from the restaurant. Just folow the sign. We will be back for sure.

Every time we go back to Portugal we end going to Gaivota for the professionalism shown by the owner, the quantity of the food and elegance of spaces and dishes. By now we tried everything on the menu and every time we go there we always find hard to choose from so many good things! It's a MUST if you are nearby.
