San Lucas is the most authentic Mexican restaurant in the area. Fresh food takes time so don't rush the chef. We love the molcajetes, tamales on saturdays and of course the tacos al pastor. You won't be disappointed. I don't get the bad ratings people is always so demanding if they want to go to a real Mexican restaurant they should know that the staff is going to speak spanglish. This place is awesome.
This place has the best real Mexican cuisine and I can recommend highly but the only problem is you waiting too much for your food. That's the only issue but their food is amazing
San Lucas Mexican Restaurant Pros: The food was qualitatively authentic mexican and the atmosphere and the music was well matched to the restaurant. I was like a new experience and did not feel like the same average Mexican food chain Cons: The only contrast with this restaurant was that it was difficult to find parking and there was a language barrier between me and the person who took my order. There was no conse for the food. 2:00 Saturday 9 April 2015 My friends and I who go to this restaurant on Saturday in the rain in Rutgers-Camden. The rain allowed many people to walk from the street and even go to the restaurant, so it was nice and quiet and we did not have to wait. When we came to the restaurant, it felt like I was entering another world. My nose was filled with exotic smells and there was great Mexican music. People really enjoyed being there. The man who took my order was very nice and attentive and although there was a slight language barrier, our orders came out perfectly. It was the most authentic Mexican restaurant where I ate. I just did the easiest thing, Tacos. Although I went for a simple and simple dish, the foods and ingredients were very fresh and authentic. The food tasted as if someone really worked hard on it, unlike a chain or a company restaurant. The restaurant was definitely one of the most important institutions on Federal Street, Camden. It seemed to be in the heart of the city when I was there and lived a clamp for many people in the city. Most people eating there were Camden residents and it had a great community feeling. I would definitely recommend going to San Lucas's Mexican restaurant to anyone who asked me. I feel like when the city begins to open, people from all over the city begin to love this authentic restaurant and enjoy how the locals have for years. The quality of the ingredients was excellent and as a person who only has generic and chain Mexican restaurant food, I can say the difference. The fresh ingredients and the hard work that the staff of San Lucas has brought into their food make a difference in a world full of restaurants.
There is no other place I eat, this palate has the best nachos, joys, Tacos al pastor, the Horchata coming from the gods is all that I can say its amazing the Pina Colata are amazing going and check it out
