The braised squid with crispy polenta, priced at GBP 6.50, had a strong Spanish influence but was on the verge of being rubbery and the polenta cubes were quite greasy. The grilled king prawns with artichoke salad, priced at GBP 10.00, and the heavy fish burger with sauce fourge, priced at GBP 11.50, was a pleasant surprise. The fish steak in the burger was large, juicy, tender, and moist, and the overall burger was satisfying. The accompanying chips were just okay. The house special fish meal, priced at GBP 12.50, featured baked cod, salsa verde, and sweet potato wedges. Overall, the dish was a wise choice and enjoyed by the reviewer.
Simply Fish is just as they claim to be - a restaurant that specializes in fish. They have a unique name, standing out from the crowd. Located near Camden, we visited on a cold and rainy Sunday. It was so chilly that it was one of the few times I had to keep my jacket on while eating. It would have been nice to have carpets and better heating to make the atmosphere more comfortable. To warm up, we started with a lychee martini for £7, which was lovely and had a strong lychee aroma. It certainly felt like one of our 5 a day! Despite the many tempting options on the menu, we couldn't resist ordering the squid and chips special for £8.50. The dish did not disappoint, with light and crispy batter coating delicate flaky fish. The accompanying mushy peas were also delicious.
I enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. They specialize in serving fish dishes, which are prepared to perfection. Guests have the option to choose the type of fish, cooking method, sauce, and side dish. In addition, they offer a variety of other seafood options, such as the delicious crab risotto. I opted for a more traditional choice and selected the plaice with jasmine rice. The fish was incredibly tender and the salsa verde complemented it perfectly. I would highly recommend this restaurant to seafood lovers.
Simple fish is (they have a restaurant specializing in fish, guessing they are clearly from the ronseal school of naming. near camden we went on a cold and rainy Sunday and that was the other meal I had eaten with my jacket this week. bring them carpets and proper heating! We decided to place the dinge with a lychee martini as a kind of internal central heating. these were beautiful and strong with a beautiful Lychee aroma, certainly one of us on the day!? Although they do many variants, we could not resist the squirting and chips (especially and when this arrived, it was not disappointing, light crispy teig hull delicate flocky fish. the muddy heaps were also delicious, shot through with fresh mint. in the did the only thing that was a slight drop off were the chips that were not the fat,- quidgie,- chip shop chips of my dreams, but were sadly a bit ground. j got the apple crumb and I got the sticky toffee pudding although both were nice, they came with a small cup custard that was not almost enough for my needs. I'm like the famous five, I want to whisper from custard! Maybe simpy fish can offer Custard refills for people like me?/ we would definitely return for the lychee martinis and crispy fish, especially if they sort out the chips and the heating I guess. or get warm!
Salmon ceviche with avocado salsa gbp – not a very exciting plate of food.braised squid with crisppy polenta gbp – very spanish influence. at the rande of a rubbery texture and these polnta cubes tasted like potatoes.grilled king prawns with artichoke salat gbp br/>grilled heavy fish burger with sauce fourge gbp – I tried it out of curiosity, one was pleasantly surprised. the hard-fished steak was large and juicy, tender and moist, and the rest of the burger did not disappoint. the chips that were served with it were ok.create their own fishmeal gbp – baked cadry, salsa verde and sweet potato wedges – with my wise choice I thought it was a winning combination, but the cadry was overrated. Definitely!< br/>apple crumble with custard gbp would have been pretty good, except that the custard was full of green spots (a crimson incident in the kitchen without doubt) and should not have been served that it was only well over half an hour after the end of the meal.
