Symposium Cafe Restaurant & Lounge

Had a catch-up lunch here with some old friends todayWe all ordered off of the breakfast menu and the food was absolutely fantastic.

My wife and I decided to do lunch at Symposium todayI can't say either of us were super impressed.

Everything is poor quality at this place Water tastes like it was from a pondCoffee tasted old and stale The eggs tasted completely flavorless.

At my daughters suggestion we went for dinner and ordered a chicken Parmesan sandwich. It is excellent, easily the best we have had in town. It was a little more expensive than some others, but well worth it. We had recently tried a place in town that my son suggested for the same meal, and the Symposium beat the other hands down.

I want to first start off with complimenting the owners of the restaurant for having truly wonderful staff. The moment we entered to the moment we left, we were impressed. We had a birthday lunch with a table of 7 adults, one 3year and an infant so may have been a little needy with the young ones. Our server, Caleb, went over and above in assisting us with the young ones, was attentive to our needs and was knew when we needed him. When two of my sisters went outside for a quick smoke break, he even went outside saying he was serving coffee and tea and if they wanted any (which would normally not be part of their duty but very appreciated). Another server/manager asked our 3 year old if she wanted to put the sprinkles on her ice cream. Very thoughtful staff. Food was awesome. Desserts were even better.Atmosphere is lovely. Try it out!
