Savino's - Cambridge

This restaurant is excellent, offering fresh, hot almond croissants and large coffees early in the morning.

The staff at this restaurant is very friendly and helpful. The food is of excellent quality and is presented in a beautiful takeaway box, not just any old cardboard. I ordered the hot chicken slices salad, Greek style, from the top of the menu for takeaway and enjoyed it in a nearby park. The bread was crispy, with just the right amount of oil and vinegar, and better quality oil than usual. I would have preferred a bit more cucumber and olives, rather than just leaves, but there was a generous amount of flavorful chicken and some seeds that added a nice touch. The interior of the café was a bit warm on a hot day.

I traveled all the way from Melbourne, Australia to visit Cambridge for my sister's graduation. While there, I had the opportunity to meet the owner of Savinos restaurant and enjoy a few drinks with him and his friends. The following day, I visited Savinos and had a fantastic experience. The coffee was excellent, the selection of pastries and food was outstanding, and the atmosphere was relaxing. I hope to visit Britain again soon.

Had scrambled eggs breakfast, coffee and a chocolate croissant. It was all delicious! Also the servers were really nice as well. The place looks a bit old but the great for and service totally makes up for it.
