Prezzo - Cambridge

I had a lovely girl serving me, shayla, she was so helpful with tesco vouchers I would highly recommend.

DIABOLICAL. Terrible service. We arrived at this place at 12 o’clock and ordered nearly straight away, our starters then took about 45 minutes to get to us which was only a garlic bread . The toilets weren’t the cleanest ever and a bit wrank. Some of the staff were alright but a few were really really rude. The don’t accept Tesco vouchers anymore. And our banana was greener than a football Pitch . Pizza was decent but that was it. Ashamed. Nice day out apart from this

When we turned up we were taken in a sidedoor behind the bar to be shown to our seats which were next to the bar. The bar area had boxes of wine/alcohol stacked around it with a bin for empty bottles right by our table in front of the bar. Our drinks were prepared and sat on the bar for 10 mins plus with ice melting before they were brought the 2 steps to our table. The toilets and queue for them are immediately behind the food servery!! A member of staff was eating a pizza off the food servery while dinners were being stacked there for customers! In my opinion the restaurant was poorly managed with questionable hygiene practices. Why would I want to pay £100 plus for a meal celebrating my daughter's A level results in an area that felt like a storeroom....As a result we took no photos, ate as quickly as possible and went elsewhere for coffee and dessert. In addition we were told on arrival that Tesco vouchers are no longer accepted there and it is card only. Neither of which points were on the website or conveyed to me when I booked. Thankfully we had decided against using clubcard vouchers and had taken up the birthday free prosecco voucher I had. Needless to say it will be the last money I ever spend in Prezzo! The only positive was the food, but given the state of the environment it was served in I dread to think what the kitchen was like and won't risk eating there again in a city full of lovely, more deserving restaurants!

A very mediocre and overpriced meal, the chicken was as tough as leather. Portions were small and all food was underwhelming. The toilets, located right by the kitchen, are an absolute disgrace. Filthy and toilet paper strewn everywhere. I imagine this restaurant is frequented by many overseas and UK tourists due to its location right by the river and I dread to think what sort of impression this gives to these visitors. The staff were very pleasant, bar the negative and unfriendly greeting we received upon arrival. We should have walked out at that point. Cramped tables. There are many lovely restaurants in Cambridge and I will certainly not be visiting this one again, nor will I be recommending it.

Really dissatisfied by this visit , the male manager, I believe, was so out right rude I had to leave before I'd even received my drinks . We were not offered water for our table after being in the restaurant for 20 30 minutes, I asked politely if some could be brought over or if my drink order was on its way , and I was told in these words , to go and sit down . I left and I will not be returning until head office addresses this as I can see its a repeated problem from the reviews on here .
