My wife and I visited this restaurant and we were both blown away at the level of service and fantastic experience we had. The team were very helpful, friendly and knowledgable. The food was outstanding and beautifully presented. You can tell a lot of thought...has been given to creating the menus and each dish was like a work of art. Thank you to the team for a wonderful time and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
I don’t believe I have ever had such a lacklustre meal such as what Midsummer House served up. Bearing in mind they are Michelin and regarded as best in the region, I was surprised not to be offered a menu (our whole table food menu and wine menu, just like a bistro). The course meal was uniformly tired and dull (and wow so much cream). Eg the dessert was ice-cream scoops in a chocolate cup (so bistro, again). The staff seemed bored and impersonal maybe just stressed and busy. When my daughter politely asked, “Do you change your menus regularly?” the lady enthusiastically proclaimed “Oh yes! It will be pork and lamb next.” [What…? Finally, the meal lasted hours from start to finish, which is slothful and undisciplined. We noted that the table next to us had to miss a course and coffees and packed up their petits fours as they had to rush, so it wasn’t just us…My disappointed conclusion is that they disappoint and are currently about star max.
It was okay, the experience felt a little flat. nothing was personalized, eating was introduced in a script like a kind and wise. After I was in a handful of restaurants with a Michelin star, I expected to choose more and specifically this place, as it is the closest. norwich with two stars. beautiful place, glass crawl at the arrival is a great note. canapés looked better than they tasted. the bark shell and the selection of the four were the melt in the mouth highlights. will be back.
It was easy at the Midsummer House too midday and it was really amazing. had the taste menu and weeping and I can not speak very enough of eating and service. certainly the best restaurant I have ever visited. all about the mid-summer house is the first class. everyone. should visit this restaurant if they love to eat it and appreciate fine wine and service. it is really an amazing experience.
