We were simply looking for a pleasant meal but instead received rude treatment and mockery for not speaking Chinese. The staff was absolutely awful. I do not recommend this restaurant for a pleasant dining experience.
Fabulous! A small but very efficient and friendly restaurant, I was welcomed warmly and thorough enjoyed every aspect of my meal including the ambiance of the environment. My food was beautifully prepared and presentation was first class. It even looked delicious. I was dining alone but felt like part of the family. Thank you very much for a lovely meal. I will be back with my wife and family as soon as possible.
This is a cracking small restaurant with a wide range of good Asian food on the menu. Its probably the most eclectic menu in Cambridge with some amazing surprises. Most of the food seems to be Korean, including a Korean Army hotpot. But the Indian beer and the Japanese sake make this feel like a real Asian fusion. This place isn't posh. And there are only five tables downstairs. But the service was quick and friendly. Another was a buzz from the young people in Kung Woo even though it was a Monday evening (we got the last free table). The menu was just immense. It included grilled eel on steamed rice (15.80) , kelp and out tail soup (9.80), shredded pig ear in spicy sauce, (6.80), special cooked 8 kings of seafood (16.80), spicy frog leg stir fry (12.80) while puddings included sweet potato in hot toffee and deep fried sweet potato. You can also get seafood like razor clams and crab if you order a day in advance. We loved the twice cooked pork which was beautiful and the kelp and ox tail soup which were really tasty and really unusual. However the cold pigs ear in spicy sauce was just a bit too left field for us. The steamed rice with kimchi was also pretty good, though maybe a bit kimchi lite. This isn't the cheapest restaurant in Cambridge. But if you want a few food surprises, this is the place for you. David's five tips Make sure you ask them to turn the chill down on your food unless you like it mega hot Take cash unless you plan to spend more than £15. Book there are only 5 tables downstairs Park outside for free on the single yellow line after 7pm Its very close to the Cambridge Arts Cinema
This Chinese takeaway is exceptional for late night dining! It's some of the best Chinese food we've had in a while. The owner and cook were extremely kind and helpful. We highly recommend this place for anyone looking to eat after 7pm.
My daughter and I visited this restaurant based on her recommendation. We were greeted warmly by the friendly staff and enjoyed the fresh and generously portioned dishes. The prices were budget-friendly and we will definitely be returning in the future.
