You have your own vegan menu, including a spicy bean burger, butter beans in Pitta and tomato sauce, falafel vegan nuggets and vegan cheesy chips! It is also quickly prepared. More seats in the upper floor, if it is early a day, but if it is late at night, you will probably not get any space.
See Title. Omnivores and vegans, never had it? It seems so wrong, but it tastes right. Updated by previous review on 2020-03-17
The best chips, wow! very affordable and has such a good atmosphere. the upper seat is so sweet. I tried the Dolma (sticked wine leaves) as well as falafel kebabs and both were great, I would certainly recommend the Dolma!! Be very explicit about your veganism at the order when you worry about it, I never had any problems! plus, the employees always give me extra plastered green chillies when I love this place for them for the alone I love for ever.
Falafel kebab is really tasty and perfect after a night out :
This place is a bit of an institution in Cambridge. Situated at the heart of the old town, folklore has it that the university tried to close it down but the students managed to get them to overturn their decision. Surrounded by high profit-margin chains and exclusive boutiques, I could believe it. You can actually get *good* chips for less than two quid, which is a small miracle in itself. They will do you a chip butty (pita filled with chips and a good dollop of hummus on top for not much more. It must be the student influence, but they do mention vegan options on the chalk board outside, and they do at least appear to know what a vegan is, which I 'm always so grateful for! If you want to up the ante, you could go for the falafel or apparently the veggie burger is vegan (not 100% confirmed that yet though! they have a rough and ready seating area upstairs and you can even get a sneaky glass of wine to go with your feast. Yep, they still predominantly serve animals, but, for Cambridge, this ain 't too bad. Updated from previous review on 2017-07-28
