Great cocktails. Nice place. But be aware they add service charge onto cocktails without telling you. Advertised nowhere on menu. Don’t mind paying a tip but automatically adding without telling you (and no receipt given) is not fair. Raised it with waitress and she said she’d inform manager. If you’re gonna hike prices for additional service then at least be up front with your customers

I recently discovered this hidden gem of a restaurant. The food is delicious, the cocktail selection is impressive, and the service is fantastic. Our server, a nice waitress with short brown hair, was very helpful in explaining the wide variety of unique spirits they offer. I would definitely recommend this place.

Lovely cocktails in a quirky environment. A good stroll down Mill Road but well worth it. The cocktails were fantastic (proper quality ingredients) and the atmosphere was brilliant. Our trip to 196 really got our weekend in Cambridge off to a great start. Highly recommended

I have always had excellent service during my previous visits, but I was extremely disappointed with the treatment my friends and I received this time. The cocktails were subpar, and my friend had to ask for hers to be remade. When we requested the bill and a taxi, the staff seemed unhelpful. While settling the bill, a group of girls waiting for a table verbally abused my friend, and none of the staff intervened. We paid the bill, including an optional tip, but the taxi never showed up, so we had to call ourselves. The waitress then claimed our bill was short, but we explained that the service charge was optional and we had paid most of it. The situation escalated as the girls waiting for our table became even more disrespectful, with the waitress joining in on mocking us. I was disgusted by the lack of professionalism and courtesy shown to us. This experience was a total disappointment, and I will not be returning to this once-lovely establishment.
