Worst food at an establishment of this caliber EVER. I have been to Madeline 's several times over the years and sometimes it has been good, sometimes not so much. Tonight WOW. The Champignon app was undercooked puff pastry with raw mushrooms and spinach. We ate it because we had to eat something. The $42 Filet Mignon was a ball shaped piece of stew meat (what you usually trim off of the end of the tenderloin). My plate and my niece 's plate came out 10 minutes after the other guests at our table. The service was great and we did not complain because it was a special occasion night out. At this price point you had better have your kitchen game on at all times. Monday night folks....I worked the hospitality industry in this town in the 90 's and everyone would have been fired for what we got tonight. The food was exceptional. We began with the duck terrine, which had a delightful rustic flavor, and the accompanying three pieces of duck sausage were fantastic. The Madeline salad was also excellent. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection and incredibly tasty. The atmosphere was charming and had a touch of French flair. The service was outstanding—attentive without being rushed. We enjoyed the Madeline Cuvée and Cabernet Sauvignon, both of which were very good. We absolutely loved our dinner!
