Norris Arts - Camas

We had an amazing experience taking pottery classes at Norris Arts! My boyfriend and I were staying in Portland for a month and had been wanting to try out pottery. We found Norris Arts online and saw the great reviews and the great price and decided to sign up for the Friends Day Wednesday 101 classes (2 classes 2 weeks apart). It was 1000% worth the drive Ted was so welcoming, and his passion and skills made him an amazing teacher. He taught us all the basics and let us know that there is no such thing as a stupid question, making it a super inclusive and approachable learning experience. We had a lot of fun learning the whole process from throwing to glazing, and after thorough instructions from Ted we had plenty of time to explore and create with clay. It was a small class which meant that it was always easy to get help from Ted when needed. If we were in town for longer, then we would take more classes at Norris Arts (and will be signing up for more next time we're in town). We definitely recommend this clay studio!

I took a introduction class with Ted, he is so knowledgeable and very patient, lol. I love my results, looking forward to another class soon.

My boyfriend and I went to one of the FriDateNight classes and it was a great experience. We had gone to a different studio one time before so we had some experience, but Ted was super helpful and made the experience so much fun. Ted helped when we asked and also let us do our own thing. He is fantastic at helping me embrace clay features that I found to be a mistake. Plus, this was the first class we found that was throwing and glazing. When we went back to glaze our creations Ted once again gave great instruction. From start to finish we had a blast. We are booking more time here!

I booked a beginner class for my two friends and I for a surprise birthday and it was MORE than we could have asked for. Ted is a great teacher and was super accommodating. We had a blast! Highly recommend this studio.
