Przekaż informację zwrotnąThis is a good restaurant within a hotel, with a beautiful outlook over Churchill Bay. A very romantic setting for an evening meal. The staff were all very friendly, chatty and helpful (ordered us a taxi after our meal) and the food here was very, very good.
Best place to eat in Camara do LobosGreat staff and the food was absolutely the best
We came here as we where having a drink across the rd We saw the hotel restaurant and asked if any availbility very quickly a young guy came and escorted us up to the restaurant .. marvellous .. shown to a table my husband had a starter and was happy next course came which mine was a steak on a skewer I asked for it well done infact charcoaled .. it came and it literally was alive even the waiter said wow this not right .. ok so took it back and recooked it now mind you all the veg and sweet potatoes where left on the table going cold .. manager came and offered his apologies .. ok things happen I get that but the steak arrived for the second time cut into it and was oozing with blood once again I called the waiter and he was embarrassed .. the manager no where in sight left the waiter to deal with us .. we decided to leave we told them we would pay for what we had food drinks we had so far but they said no it’s ok as I think they just wanted to get rid of us so we didn’t cause a scene If a chef can’t cook steak beef so a clients liking he’s in the wrong job !!!
What an excellent dining experience, from start to finish!! This is a wonderful and welcoming Madeira style restaurant, located in the historically important Pestana Churchill Pousada hotel. We had a premium table on the terrace overlooking the harbor. Upon arrival, Nuno served us a local aperitif, Madeira wine with tonic and a slice of orange…. Very refreshing and a great way to start the evening. Throughout the evening, we were attended to by two excellent servers, Leandro and Nuno. The service matched the delicious food we enjoyed. First, our starter of grilled squid was incredibly tender and sweet. The toasted garlic bread was a good complement. Next was our main, grilled Sea Bream, aka Dorade. This tender white fleshy fish has low oiliness and a mild sweet flavor, and was cooked with perfection by Chef Diogo. Accompaniments included perfectly fresh green salad, beautiful local sauteed vegetables and Portuguese boiled potatoes, all expertly prepared to our specifications. Delicioso!! We enjoyed three local wines that paired well with our dishes. Finally, two local desserts, which we could not finish, and we left very well satisfied. Obrigado, for a great dinner and evening!
We enjoyed (in the right order) : 1- the service 2- the location 3- the food (except the deserts). Would we recommend it : YES We had dinner there three times.
