Proper 21 K Street - Calumet-Norvelt

Very tasty brunch food! It was a very quiet brunch day (cold and rainy outside), so I imagine people didn't want to venture outside. We all had good mimosas, and I loved the tres leches French toast.

Upscale sports bar/restaurant. We had a late dinner and the place was not crowded. Food was good but service was not. Our waitress kept disappearing, so we had to leave our table several times to ask both the hostess and bartender for help.

The server was very nice. But one suggestion for better customer service to increase your profits: servers should always ask or suggest appetizers dessert! Our server gave us the check without asking if any of us wanted dessert or even coffee! We had to flag her down so we could order 2 desserts 2 coffees. By the way, your churro waffle was amazing!

It was a very nice atmosphere but getting attention for service was work! They may have been understaffed. I enjoyed my shrimp and grits with belini. All in all it was ok.

Brunch was great. Thanks again to Lena and to the hostesses for a great overall experience. We were also there at the bar the night before. That said, a special shout out to Tia, as well, for being awesome. Thanks once more to all of you see you again soon!
