Classic place, amazing location, good service, and great oysters.

Awesome place. We went a little early for lunch and had no problems getting in but there was a line by the time we left (noon-ish).

Service was excellent especially for a very busy, touristy spot trying to turn tables over. Crab and artichoke dip was five stars. The rest of the food was very good. I kept it very simple with fresh oysters and a salad. The salad was generous, fresh and dressed well with some really nice fresh blackberries. Oysters were fresh and good selections in general. Key Lime Pie was just OK, I’ve had much better. My friends enjoyed their food as well. Nobody raved about anything but they all cleaned their plates. One had the crab cakes, one had shrimp spaghettini. Atmosphere was decent, it’s a large somewhat noisy place but has that old DC kind of feel.

Classic restaurant a stone's throw from The White House where executives and tourists meet alike. A complete success. The oysters rockefeller and the pastrami sandwich were very delicious.
