I love restaurants with banquets with mirrors above them. my dining room partner (in this case my beautiful woman olivia) can sit on the banquet, and although I'm turned off the room, I can take the ambiente through the tilted mirror over the banquet. anacardos offers many tasty items that are not listed in the menu. we started our meal with corozo juice, a delicious drink of frozen ice and the local berry corozo, which tastes like something between açaí berry, blueberries and cranberries. it even promises near-wunder health benefits like açaí. I would drink home every day if corozos are available in new york. we also ordered the classic Colombian appetizers fried yucca and patacones. the yucca is the best thing I cost in Colombia. the light-fried outer reminded me of Japanese tempura. through the crisp outside, I found the perfect, soft, hot interieur, which she transfers the classic yucca taste and texture. we varied from the menu and asked which suppers they had provided. the day we were here, they offered four. we had the Butternuss Quark pump and the sweet soup. so often I am disappointed by suppening because they have seen too much. the vegan offers from anacardos rewarded us with suppening perfectly matched to our taste. each suppe led with fresh taste, which showed the fresh taste of each sweet, and since we are in colombia, we had to squeeze naturally in lime juice. perfect! many diners flock anacardos for the vegan offers. that should not keep the nonvegans away. try the steaks or the seafood. we chose the lobster. we paired it with a magnificent Chilean red wine. anacardos gave us a beautiful, lazy afternoon to welcome the Cartagena culture and eating. go and enjoy! say hi to esperanza, adolfo and yvonne for me.
We went to anacardos for the vegetarian menu and were pleasantly surprised by the selection as well as the beautiful presentation. many of the dishes have a meat substitute (e.g. sincean, gluten).
We found this through happy cow and thought we would give him a chance. it is a charming place in the walled city. we went in and were greeted and sat at our table. the waiter was very good about what was vegan and what was...vegetarian we ordered the tempura. it was really beautiful presented, and some of the best tempo we had in one. we decided to ask the proposal of the waiter and he said that the paella was enough for two. we ordered that and it was really good. to the point that we ate more than we had. After dinner we met the chef who had suffocated 6 on his collar. When we asked, he told us that he was working in 6 countries in some really big ones. definitiw will go back to try more!
My husband and I walked bye and noticed the vegan menu- hard to come by in Cartagena! A lot of options. We each had a salad and I had basil pasta, he had vegan quinoa risotto! Good service!
We tried a soup that was very small, a beef sandwich that was good, and a seafood caserole that was horrible and unusually made. For sure we'll not come back.
