The ceviche need work, but the other plates like Parihuela, Chicharrón, and Arroz Chauffa are really good!

Fooled by the charm of the location and the building, food is much less than average, we order ceviche, rice seafood, fried fish and fish in seafood sauce, the ceviche was the best plate but less than average compared to other restaurants. We were very surprised that there was a sign advertising fish of the day and when our plates came we realized that none of them were prepared with the fish of the day but rather with sail fish, which was chewy. Overall I would never comeback or recommend.

Mateo restaurante y cevicheria es uno de los mejores lugares para comer en el Callao monumental y no es costoso, pero de buen sabor, recomendado!!! Ojo que comí menú, pero voy a regresar por un ceviche y pulpo a la parrilla, esta vez comí: Causa Acevichado de entrada con pescado en salsa de ajo de fondo y refrezco, canchita y rocoto de cortesía... Todo por S/ 18.

La comida llegó fría (arroz con mariscos) y el arroz masacote sin sabor. La jale real tenía 5-6 mariscos, un filete (cabrilla o chita) pero el sabor muy salado. Por último, la atención regular mala, nos atendieron 15 min después, y el mesero con menos ganas que uno trabajando lunes 8 am ... En fin, no lo recomendaría
