The bar was completely devoid of anyone but we finally found a waitress and then what appeared to be the manager. We elected to sit in the lounge area instead of either the main dining room or the outside patio. I selected a rack of baby back ribs, my wife the NY steak. Both with a Caesar salad. The salad arrived firs and was nice in that it isn’t pouring with dressing but the croutons are just packet bought dried bread. Surely someone in the kitchens could make home made croutons? The steak was cook nicely and medium rare as my wife had asked. My ribs tasted great and came off the bone very easily. As a side, I had fries and coleslaw while my wife had a nice baked potato and broccoli. As we intended to pay using gift cards we shared a dessert of apple tart with cranberry and a scoop of vanilla ice-cream. This was served on a plate drizzled with caramel sauce. The apple tart was still in its foil dish and looked like something out of the box from a supermarket. It was warmed but only just and almost has some apple in there. Most disappointingly, the pastry was the overwhelming flavour and having been heated, must likely from frozen, the pastry had a soggy bottom and was not a good bake. The waitress was not the most attentive and never returned to see if we needed additional drinks during the course of the meal. Neither was any water offered - until the very last moment as we asked for the bill.During our visit we noticed several people waiting for long periods of time before they were met or escorted to a table. We thought one lone man was waiting to pay but it turned out he was also waiting to be seated. The bathrooms were clean but very dim inside. Parking was plentiful but beware, there is a huge cinema complex nearby and at peak times parking could be more of a challenge. I won’t be in a hurry to make a return visit, mainly because of the poor service and attention we received.
My family of four went to Tony Roma's for my birthday and had a very good meal. It started with the Onion loaf (a pile of connected onion rings) which was quite large and very tasty. Each of us ordered a different meal and they all had good sized portions. I especially like their ribs. The meals are pretty good and are not over-priced.
My wife and I had a date night at Tony Roma's on a Friday. We made a reservation and the lady at the counter was not able to find it but fortunately we were seated promptly. We had an onion bloom and drink for starter (we ordered a full size but received and were charged for a half size.) As for the entree, a noteworthy mention at time to visit was their $34 rib and lobster platter. While the ribs are typical, the lobster tail was larger than I expected to receive for the price. My wife ordered a burger and it was nicely loaded with a generous serving of fries. For dessert we had a red velvet cake and it topped off our meal nicely. Service was good, albeit it seemed a bit slower that evening. Our meal of appetizer, one drink, two entrees and dessert came to $83 with gratuity. Although you can get a cheaper meal elsewhere, for a nicer night out we felt it was good value for a restaurant chain, the meal was good portioned (wife had leftovers) and service was slightly above standard. Please indicate if you found this review to be helpful so I know where to focus my future efforts accordingly!
It has been a number of years since I used to eat at this particular address. We were taken by a firend for some ribs and had the riblets. The place was much cleaner, the staff much friendlier which ma for an enjoyable evening. I stuck with my standard riblets.
One of us had a birthday, and a free lunch or dinner coupon they sent us in the mail, so today was our day to splurge. We had the three item lunch combo for $14 Soup, salad and foccacia bread filled with yummy turkey, and a BBQ shrimp taco for my date. Love it.
