Swiss Chalet - Calgary

I walked into Swiss Chalet was greeted with a smile, I ordered and then was about to pay when the first thing i saw was tip on the debit machine. Tip at the pick up counter, why... so first i thought ok she smiled and then I looked around and noticed there was no place for me to sit. I changed my mind about the tip. I'm 77 years old with horrendous arthritis in my back and legs, standing for more than a minute is painful. So you would like a tip but you don't think much of your aged customers. No tip then no matter how large that smile was etched on her face. The food was delicious as usual however. Cmon place at least 2 chairs at this location for us old people...

Was having a birthday dinner and we always get Swiss Chalet. This time was very disappointing. Chicken was dry but worse fries were old with some burnt. They must have been leftovers from lunch.

I walked in on Tuesday super hungry and in need of some comfort food. Wasn’t really sure what to order so I spoke to the gentleman behind the desk. He was so helpful and friendly. He recommended the family pack and honestly he nailed it. It hit the spot perfectly and everyone loved it. He’s a credit to your company. Such great service. Please thank the chef too, it was cooked to perfection. Thank you Warren, I will be back!

I have been going to this location since the 80s and I’m relieved to be able to still come here, sit down, and order my favourite Swiss chalet meals. With all this COVID-19 nonsense going on it wasn’t surprising to find the restaurant which seats hundreds almost deserted. Gone are all the ambiance knickknacks of years gone bye, and now it’s that modern gray and white look which honestly doesn’t do a lot for the appetite. This location has high ceilings and is large, but yet the tables are all small booths ideal for children but not so much for full grown adults. All these booths should really be refitted as it is long overdue. Of course these are hard times, so realistically I don’t expect any change. Anyhow… The service was good, the food was good, and I will go back as long as they open the doors to their customers. Just love that Swiss Chalet chicken, ribs , sauce, rolls, coleslaw !!
