The food is good with shish kebabs being the best. The mutton was on the fatty side while the samosas were great. The biggest drawback is that the restaurant do not allow alcohol and not even byo. In fact when asking for ice for the coke's that was not available either.

Two friends from the University of Calgary took me here for a lovely dinner. I had never had Pakistani food before so I encouraged them to order for me. This worked well because one of my friends is originally from India and there is a great deal of similarity, at least to my unsophisticated tastes, between Indian and Pakistani cuisine. The food was simply amazing. Coincidentally, there were some students in the restaurant that night making a film about Pakistani food and culture, and they asked if they could interview me on camera. I agreed and answered questions about the food and the importance I placed on trying dishes from other cultures. I am from Georgia, and at the end of the interview, the woman interviewing me exclaimed "I love your accent"! The restaurant was quite crowded with family groups, many of whom were Muslins with young children. This made the whole experience seem more convivial. It was truly a memorable meal. I hope to return someday.

This is truly a authentic Pakistani restaurant. We ordered a Chicken Biryani

The place is inviting, the decor is lovely. The chairs are interesting. The location is convenient, but parking can be an issue.The food is fresh, and very spicy. I love everything about the food, but I wish they can scale down how hot it is, but they can't. You have no choice. So, if you like hot spicy food, the is the place. the kabobs and naan bread are my favorite.The service is excellent and friendly.

We recently moved to Calgary and found this quaint little Indian restaurant inthe basement of what seems like the basement of the Alforno Bakery on the corner of 2nd Ave and 7th St. Excellent Indian Cuisine, delightful naan and superbe service! Will definitely recommend and will be back!
