Snow Palace - Calgary

Food was decent for Chinese cuisine. We liked because of it’s low salt content. However, the service was really slow and we waited to be served, food and the bill.

Really good! All food ingredients are fresh and delicious, I will go back!

Enjoyed dining at this restaurant. Located in basement of the building (no elevator, not wheelchai accessible). Very friendly staff, fast attentive service, good food.

After hearing about this unique Chinese restaurant in the NW and reading some reviews we decided to give it a try. I want to start by saying the food we ordered was great, but the service was horrible, whether it was by a miscommunication or some other reason this was truly disappointing to be ignored, we were sat by the guy at the front counter, it took over fifteen minutes to get our drink order in… tables that came in after us and sat down received service well before we did, we finally had to stand up and wave a server down just to get our order taken. I would like to state the restaurant at this time was at best 40 to 50% full, there were still many open tables and seeing the service the adjacent tables were getting was not really a good experiencee. As for the food, it wasn't bad the crispy chicken was quite nice, the wonton soup was a bit above average, the sweet and sour pork wasn’t too bad fairly standard, one dish that was a bit disappointing was the shrimp and vermicelli hot pot, it was quite heavy on the noodles and had way to much liquid in the dish to make it on par with what we have had in other restaurants . I'm really hesitant about trying this place again given our experience, I would like to given the quite diverse menu.

Food quality good but a bit variable. Seafood was particularly good. Service friendly and mostly efficient. Authentic Chinese restaurant atmosphere.
