A-mazing! But did it make up for the fact that I stood for 10minutes (I'm staying in the hotel across the street, came from a conference in a suit) before just saying to a bartender - should I seat myself?! Three waitresses came to the hosting station to settle tabs and ignored me in a way that insulted me to the point of amusement. My waitress was outright annoyed I didn't order alcohol - but I ordered a steak and some wings, not enough to hold her interest. She spent most of her time talking to fellow staff and I had to signal her to get my bill. BUT, this is a great place if you're a group of guys who like sports. The high ceiling and HUGE screens are outstanding for sports. Shorts, ball caps are welcome here.Massive sign out front that says "NO MINORS" and yet the place is nothing but emotionally stunted bro-men in their 20's drinking and watching sports. If you're staying at the hotel - go to Moxie's. If you're out for a great night of sports and beers and good food. Then this is your spot.
We were here for wing night during a recent Flames game, so the place was very busy. Before the game started we were able to get fairly good service, but once the place filled up for the game.......forget it.I waited a full 30 minutes to get the waitress' attention for another beer. She never even looked towards our table while serving other patrons. I finally gave up and left. The wings are OK
It wasn't overly busy but the service was just ok. Waitress seemed a bit preoccupied with something other than being pleasant and efficient. Food was ok - daughter had good veggie burger, mum had had better fish and chips and I really didn't like my beef dip at all. I like nice thin, shaved beef and this wasn't. Also the coffee was lukewarm at best and tasted like it had been sitting for a while. Parking is a little bit of a challenge - really had to drive around a bit to find the lot that corresponded to the door.
Although the usual grill type food, it was good and was enjoyable. I liked the atmosphere as well, very laid back.
Had a late lunch/early dinner here on Sunday March 5th. Drinks ordered came within a reasonable time. We ordered the "Shark bites" dry rub pork ribs to start. This is the oh dear part...they were not dry rub pork ribs at all, we received breaded boneless pork pieces. When I informed the waitress, she said they were ribs and sent over a gentleman. He said they are ribs and when I challenged his statement, ie the lack of actual bone, he said "Oh they forgot to put the word boneless on the menu" !!!Cajun burger and classic burger were fine. However the salad accompanying the C burger was old and wilted. We won't be visiting this Shark Club again. The issue with the "ribs" will be referred to Alberta Health Services. Have fun all!
