Original Joe's Marda Loop - Calgary

Had the fish tacos. Unfortunately, the fish was fried.

The bacon and tomato soup is a great light meal. Comes with cheese toast. Excellent.

Steak was not done properly!! Redid it and took it off the price of the meal for us. Still, would have like to enjoy the whole meal with my wife instead of waiting!!

It was great to be in a restaurant bar during these strange times. OJ's has lots of space and it well laid out. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Food is always good and plentiful. It was quieter than usual due to seating restrictions but that was nice as it was lunch hour and we wanted to chat.

Had to ask for the music to be turned down 3 times. None of the staff seemed happy about my request, even after a explained I had a hearing problem and the volume of the music was preventing me from hearing my guest. A table across the room overheard my request and agreed it was too loud and also asked the staff to turn down the volume. The food was delicious and the service was fast and efficient however the noise level ruined it for me along with the response from the staff...no apology or concern...just a blank stare, eye roll, accompanied by...I’ll see what I can do and then nothing was done until I continued to press for a remedy.
