Mug Shotz Sports Bar & Grill - Calgary

Seriously every time I look at this place on the map, I'm thinking to myself don't do it! Once you get to the parking lot, you're still asking yourself, really? Totally unassuming dive, nothing fancy, kinda dark, but man oh man! The wings here are plump and juicy, not like other joints where they are fried for so long that the meat breaks away into dust on the first bite. Service is ok and could be improved, not the cheapest price in town, however size, quality and flavours won't disappoint.

THE BEST WINGS EVER and pretty amazing staff They have 50 varieties ( possibly more)of wings you can go and experiment with different kinds or have your favourite every week . My favourite are salt and pepper and sweet and sour

We had a group of four gentlemen from work on a Wednesday wing night relaxing evening. We all had various beers of local and import. We tried several flavours as follows: Black Pepper & Salt - nice crispy and well seasoned; Dill Pickle - with actual bits of dill pickles on the nicely fried crispy wings; Louisiana Garlic Parmesan - nicely seasoned but could use a little more parmesan cheese; Cajun Suicide - pretty spicy cajun flavour but not overwhelmingly hot; Blueberry Chipotle - nice berry flavour with a little zing note at the end. The overall experience was good. The place was packed solid with no tables open. Everyone were having a good time and wings were flying out of the kitchen as expected. The kitchen managed to stay afloat considering the amount of people they needed to feed all at once.

Cozy noisy and busy. Not the prettiest part of town , but you’ll be missing out if you let that deter you! "Home of the best gourmet chicken wings in Calgary. I love my wings. I will try any place anytime with wings. Mug Shotz is a must! The mug shotz salt n pepper are my favourite but also the dill pickle!! I take anyone from out of town here and don't know how many times I have gone with my parents and friends. Is pricier than other wing nights but you will not be disappointed. Can get very busy on Wednesdays but not terrible usually. Waitresses are always friendly when I go even when busy.
