Montana's BBQ & Bar - Calgary

Our steaks were to be medium rare and were more medium but still good. The mini donuts are not done in powdered sugar like on the menu said. This was a disappointment .

Great food. Nice place for a work lunch, quiet atmosphere.

They up sell the food. Our meal came with 2 sides and we chose a baked potato as one of them. The waitress asked if we wanted our potato loaded , meaning sour cream, butter, bacon bits, chives and our response was “yes” as that's usually the standard that comes with a baked potato unless you specified otherwise. When we got our bill they charged an extra $3.00 for each potato that we had toppings on and we were told it was because we ordered it loaded. This was not disclosed when we ordered so not impressed. Our 2nd side was baked beans and came side dish that holds no more than 3 tbsps being generous. Lastly the ribs were very fatty. We hadn't been to Montanas in years before coming back and now I know why. Likely never be back again.

We came there for a good steak but this time it was overcooked.
