Melrose Cafe & Bar - Calgary

I took my wife to the Chinese New Year (year of rats). It was after long working hours today for both of us, tired and feeling deserves a good treat. It turned out that this was a good choice for a dinner in the late evening. I ordered the same favorite buffalo chicken and I ordered my wife a veggie. We ended the entire two pizzas without any doubt and didn't feel too much. My order was as good as my last two last year tried and my spouse was amazed at the taste she can enjoy, and we both agreed that these are top in the city and best of all we have tried.

Nice restaurant, very friendly staff. I recommend the pizza, especially on Thursday (1/2 price). The truffle mushroom is laborious! Béchamel base, three cheese mixes, mixed mushrooms, fresh arugula and feta cheese with a truffle oil and a herbal oil crust! So delicious! Totally renovated. New management. New drinks. New menu. That's not the old merose, whatever. A total of 5 star experiences. Truffleries, burgers, pizza...

Service was very prompt and incredibly friendly. The new ownership has clearly put a lot of thought into the atmosphere and the menu. The burgers are soo good. The server was able to recommend a couple of drink options I might like, and also let me sample a beer before ordering which is always appreciated when I’m indecisive! This is often a go-to favourite spot before an event on the grounds, so I will certainly be back!

WELCOME BACK! Love love the pizza and love the thinly sliced pineapples on the Hawaiian. Burgers were great and the salads had just the right amount of dressing! Awesome atmosphere as well!
